Today afternoon, I had some time to kill. So I decided to watch a movie. The nearest movie hall (Regal in Cannaught Place) was showing Ishk Vishk, and I decided to check it out. I must say that I was a tad disappointed. I knew that the story had nothing new to offer. But I was most dissapointed by the handling.
The story was similar to Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar without the race angle. But there is a sea of difference between the two. And I am not talking about the acting. Shahid Kapur does a pretty decent job in his first film, and so does Amrita Rao. He seems to be a spontaneaous actor, and will go a long way.
The problem is with the story. The hero keeps insulting the heroine at every opportunity. He uses and abuses her. Yet, she clings on to him. What a strange woman? On the positive side, the movie does have a fresh look about it. Some of the jokes are nice. The women are great!! But thats it! Even the songs are nothing to write home about.
Every episode of Wonder Years was better than this tripe!!
